must have jewelry brand

hi. i’m antonio centeno. i’m the founderof real men real style. today, gentlemen i’ve got a question foryou. should a man wear a bracelet or bracelets? go ahead and let me know down the commentsbelow. i would love to hear from you guys what your opinion is.now, i’m going to give you five reasons why you should consider wearing a braceletespecially if you’re a man that doesn’t and i’m in that camp. so, on a daily basisi do not wear bracelets. i grew up conservative west texas where you do not wear a bracelet, otherwise, yeah, you’re just going to – people are just going to look at you just very, verystrange. but, over the last twenty years, i’ve hadthe privilege to travel the world to be able

to see some amazing things and i’ve developedfriendships with men that are running amazing companies. and one of them, hamed over athelix cuffs and carlos over at the collaterals. these two guys, two amazing companies andthey both make bracelets and they approached me and say, antonio, like you should – youshould look at this you should try it, look at what we’re – and i see these guys veryamazing companies, they’re taking two very different approaches.let me show you, this is what carlos has over at the collaterals and this can actually beworn. i’ve seen pictures of men with suits wearing this and, i’ll talk about how they’redoing that. and then, hamed and his partner, they’ve been building this in colorado hand-made.but, the point is is i normally wouldn’t

wear bracelets. i wouldn’t have consideredthem. and these five points i’m about to sharewith you hopefully they get you thinking about it and i love for us to have a constructive, you know, conversation about this down the comments. and if you decide to purchase fromthose companies, go check out on the comments, i’m going to give you guys some discountcodes so that you can get a great deal when you decide or if you decide to start wearinga bracelet. all right? so, number one reason why maybe you wouldwant to consider start wearing – to start to wear a bracelet is it’s a great conversationstarter. i find that conversation is something of a lost art and part of it is getting itstarted. we pass people all the time, we,

you know, everyone almost looks the same, but if you’re wearing a bracelet especially in an occasion, maybe it’s formal and you’vegot something just attracts a bit of attention. and, not necessarily in a bad way or maybeyou’re on the beach and you don’t really have much else in style, you don’t wantto wear a watch, and this is something that allows you to talk and to be open with anotherperson and to who knows where this could go. it could be start of a beautiful relationship, maybe it’s that woman that you’ve wanted to be engaged with and she just asked you, where did you get that from? and you’re able to tell her about your appreciation for,you know, artistry and, you know, hand-made things or it’s a business acquaintance.and it’s almost like, wow, you know, i know

you – i knew you were a creative person, but – and you’re in the jewelry, but please tell me more about this. so, who knows whereit can go, but i love the idea that it starts a conversation.point number two, it’s practical. maybe, and some of you guys may say, oh, antonio, how is it practical? let’s look at id bracelets, let’s look at health bracelets, let’slook at the paracord bracelet. yes, okay, that last one maybe a bit of a joke, but, hey, if you’re going off and you’re getting – you’re jumping out of a c130 and intothe woods of alaska or i don’t know, wherever you’re going, it may be something that, hey, just having that paracord bracelet is useful. but, for some men, it is a – it’sa practicality.

so, on to point number three, wealth and status.so, it has been shown, when people look at others with jewelry, there’s an instanttrigger in the back of their mind that this person has a bit of money. and, maybe we don’tsee it in north america so much, but i know i travel over to east europe, i’m goingto see a lot of more jewelry in the part of the world. i’m going to see jewelry andgold over in china and other parts of india is a clear sign that this person is well.so, yeah, we’ve tried to push down that there aren’t class and divisions of people, but in other parts of the world, it isn’t always that clear. and even here in the unitedstates, when we see someone driving a bmw, we see somebody driving a, you know, a mercedes,we have something, oh, that person has to

be pretty successful. when we see them or,you know, they’re living off credit card debt, but in any case, you don’t have thatwhen you’re walking into starbucks and you’re talking to somebody, but if we see that theywear a little bit of jewelry, oftentimes you could be something, hmm, this person is alittle bit different. so, let’s get into point number four, specialmeaning and perhaps signifying your culture. so, i was talking about and we’ve seen someof the bead bracelets out there, perhaps that’s something that comes out of your culture.now, hamed i don’t actually know so much about his background, but it may – i knowfor him wearing jewelry was something that was bit more common. and where – whereveryou’re from the world whether it’d be

the middle east whether it’d be northernafrica, maybe it’s parts of india maybe jewelry wearing and bracelets are a part ofyour culture and you want to bring that into your normal dress.point number five, you actually like it. now, there was a gentleman that actually came outto our style con event, he purchased a bracelet from hamed and i saw him leave -- mike, youknow who you are and he left a comment. and this is a – this a marine veteran and hesay he just loves the bracelet how it reminds him of something, so it has meaning. but,how he just started to love actually the attention he got and how he felt wearing it and so,he wears it now with pride and people come up and start to talk to him about the bracelet.so, he wears it because he likes it.

guys, what do you think of those five pointsand i would love to hear from you in the comments about the two companies that i talked aboutabout wearing bracelets in general. take care. see you in the next video.[0:05:46] end of audio

johnny was jewelry

she is the woman in the middle of this whole chris brown drama going on. if you missed this at the beginning of the show. chris brown accused of pulling a gun on a woman, a beauty pageant contestant named baylee curran. she is miss california regional

2016 and she was at chris' house, inside, when -- harvey: she's the one who filed the police report, called 9-1-1 and she joins us right now to walk us through what happened. welcome to "tmz live." baylee: hi, guys. harvey: tell us the

circumstances under which you ended up at chris' house early this morning? baylee: originally i was going as a go-see to meet him to be in future videos and productions and work-related stuff like that. harvey: a lot of people might

say it was pretty late at night or early in had the morning for was it a party kind of setting? what were you expecting? baylee: i wasn't expecting a party at all. and it was certainly not a party setting. there was probably about seven

people, at the most, there. some other girls and then a couple of friends of chris'. so i wouldn't say it's a party. it was a monday night. harvey: what happened when you were inside? baylee: well, everything was great, at first, when i was

inside, we were all just hanging out. i was hanging out for at least a couple of good hours. everything was fine. talking to chris, talking to ray j. everything was great. i went outside.

i sat in the hot tub for a little bit, put my feet in. one of my friends was swimming in the pool. then we decided to go back in and then that's when i saw this male who was selling these diamond watches and the diamond necklaces and that's when i saw

the diamond cross necklace and of course, i'm going to admire it. i did not pick it up. i did not try to take it, anything to that sort. i don't know if it was his friend who kind of triggered chris.

but he said, don't go near the diamonds, started calling me names, saying get the [beep] outside, go back outside. that's just when chris said, what did i tell you, girls, i have been telling you over and over again and he pulled out the gun and was like get the [beep]

out of here and threatened me with it and that's when i just left. harvey: when you say, he said that's what i have been telling you girls, what was he referring to? he said something before? baylee: there were girls

previous to the event, about an hour before that, about four others that he kicked out. so it's like he's getting continuously sick of these girls. i'm not too sure. charles: do you know why he kicked out the four other girls?

baylee: honestly, i have no idea. i don't know why he did anything that night. charles: did he use the gun when that happened? baylee: no, no, not that i saw. harvey: he pulls out a gun. was he pointing it at you?

baylee: he was, yes. harvey: he told you to get out. you then did what? baylee: i got out. harvey: my understanding is, before you got out, you realized you had left your phone and they made a request of you? baylee: yes.

so two of his friends kind of walked me out. i went past the front gate there. i waited there. his one friend went back for my shoes and my cell phone. and that's when he came out with my shoes and my cell phone and

he was hesitant to give me both of my items, especially my phone. and asked me to sign this n.d.a., or this type of waiver. harvey: a nondisclosure agreement. after you say he pointed a gun at you, he wanted you to sign a

nondisclosure agreement? harvey: what did you do? baylee: i said i'm not signing anything. i took my phone from him and made a run for it. charles: what happened? did you get away? did you make a clean getaway or

did anybody attempt to chase after you? especially because you didn't sign the n.d.a., which i imagine they were not happy about. baylee: right, right. the two friends did follow me down the street. so i went down his driveway and

then i went to the left. they continued to follow me until i started actually running, pretty quickly. and then that's when the neighbors saw me. and they went forth with calling 9-1-1. and then i began to call 9-1-1

and then that's when i saw a black jeep come out of chris' driveway towards where i went. and so i saw the nearest vehicle to me and i literally went underneath the vehicle and hid, like beneath the tires. and so the jeep kind of went into that vehicle that i was at

and then turned right back around and went back up into the driveway. charles: they didn't see you at that point? baylee: i don't believe they saw me but they were certainly looking for me. harvey: was there a lot of

drinking? and were there drugs there? baylee: i, honestly, i just want to give the information about what happened to me. i really don't want to disclose anything further. i don't want anymore trouble with chris.

with anybody else. i honestly did not ask for this. i mean, obviously, what would you do if you were in this situation, if somebody put a gun in your face? harvey: do you -- baylee, do you want him prosecuted? baylee: you know what, i still

don't know. i am being attacked by everybody. i just feel like it's very unfair because, like i said, what would you do if somebody put a gun in your face or what if this was your daughter? what if that happened to your

daughter or someone very -- charles: when you say you're being attacked by everybody, are you referring to social media? social media. i know chris has a lot of fans. like i said, i did not ask for this. i did not mean for this to

happen. i mean, i've met chris several times before. i hung out with him several and he's actually a very nice guy and fun. so i really don't know what happened. and it's very unfortunate.

harvey: so, couple of final things. you mentioned earlier that you actually partied with chris and justin bieber? baylee: i wouldn't say party. i hung out with them. if you call playing hide-and-go-seek partying, so be

charles: as an adult. baylee: no, not like that. charles: but i mean -- if adults are playing hide-and-go-seek, usually there's a party. i didn't mean anything. baylee: it wasn't a party. the same as last night, just a few people.

harvey: was royalty there that night? do you know anything about that? baylee: who? harvey: his daughter? baylee: oh, no, not that i saw. harvey: baylee, thank you so much for the time. really appreciate it.

baylee: thank you. harvey: thanks again.

jewelry where to buy

hey everyone! jessica here from jewelrytutorialhq.com. in my last video, we talked about what kindof tools you need to get started making wire wrapped jewelry. in this video today, we'regoing to cover another frequently asked question, which is what kind of jewelry wire do i needfor wire wrapping? well, first, let me just clarify that wirewrapping is a pretty broad term, so that can actually mean quite a few different things.in this video today, the type of wire wrapping that i'm going to be talking about is whati just refer to as basic wire wrapping. so to me, that means things like wire wrappedloops and links, wire wrapped dangles, and briolettes, and things like that.

some other types of wire wrapping projectsmay have different requirements when it comes to the type of jewelry wire that you needto use for those. we might talk about some of those anothertime, but for today, this next part of the video is an excerpt from my new course, wirewrapping for beginners, and the type of wire wrapping that i teach you in that course isthis basic wire wrapping. so, i just wanted to put that in context so that you can keepthat in mind as i'm talking about what kind of wire will or won't work for the projects. if you would like to learn more about wirewrapping for beginners, i will put a link below the video or you can simply visit jewelrytutorialhq.com/courses.but for now, let's talk about jewelry wire!

in this lesson, i'm going to give you a briefoverview of the basic properties of jewelry wire. there are a lot of options out thereand they can be somewhat overwhelming, so i'm going to break it down for you and hopefullymake it a little bit less confusing for you when you go to buy your wire. i've also got some really great resourcesin the supplementary materials section, so if you need more information about any ofthese things, i'm sure you'll find the answers there. in this example from amazon, you can see thatthere is a lot of information about what type of wire this is, and i'm going to go throughand help you make sense of what all these

things mean. by the way, this it not what i want you tobuy - i'm just showing you this as an example of how many factors you're going to have todecide on when you're shopping around for your wire. also, these things are not necessarily goingto be listed in this order, so please keep that in mind. so first, we have our material, that's whatthe wire is made of, in this case is sterling silver. next, it tells us the shape of the wire, whichin this case is half round. then it tells us the hardness, or the temperof the wire, which here is half hard.

then we have the gauge, or the size of thewire. this wire is 20 gauge wire. and of course, the 5 feet there is just the quantity of wireyou get if you purchase this item. so, now what do all of these things mean?let's go through them one by one and i'll tell you what you should or shouldn't usefor the projects in this course. material:there are tons of different jewelrywire materials out there, and it's important to know that they all behave differently.different metals have different properties which affect the way they act when we tryto manipulate them. some materials are too soft, and some aregoing to be too hard, which i'll explain more when we talk about wire hardness. what youneed to know is this:

for this course, craft wire is too soft, artisticwire is too soft, aluminum wire is too soft. if the wire doesn't specify what materialit's made of, or what temper the wire is, then it's probably too soft. stainless steel wire is going to be too hard, and memory wire is going to be too hard and is not appropriate for wire wrapping. those are all the things you should stay awayfrom for this course. now, copper, silver, brass, silver filled, gold filled, and german style wire are perfect to use for the type of wire wrapping thatwe're going to be doing in this course. i highly recommend that you stick to thosematerials as long as they are half hard or

medium temper, which again, we'll cover ina minute. i usually recommend that beginners start outwith an inexpensive practice wire instead of practicing using more expensive materialslike sterling silver and gold filled. so, copper, brass, and the german style wireare excellent inexpensive options for beginners to use as practice wire, and that's wherei recommend that you start. shape: wire shape is simply the shape of thewire's cross section, or the cut end. the most common jewelry wire shapes are round, which is what we're using in this course, half round, which is flat on one side androunded on the other, square, and twisted wire. half round wire is not used for this typeof wire wrapping so be sure that when you're

purchasing wire you're choosing round wire, not half round wire. square wire and twisted wire can both actuallybe used in the same ways as plain round wire for the types of projects that we'll be making, for the most part, so that's something to keep in mind in the future when you're comfortablewith the techniques and ready to experiment with some other options. i do recommend learning with round wire firstbefore you move on to square or twisted wire, however. hardness: wire hardness or wire temper isbasically how stiff the wire is. we want to use half hard or medium temper wire in allof the projects in this course. the other options are soft, or dead soft, and hard, or full hard, which are respectively

too soft and too hard for what we're goingto be doing. when wire is too soft, it won't hold its shape,so your wire wraps will bend and smush and be very unsightly which is not at all whatwe're going for. when the wire is too hard, it's too difficultto form into the shapes that we want. so in both cases, using the wrong wire only leadsto frustration and disappointment. if you're looking at a wire that doesn't specifythe temper, that's usually a sign that it's too soft, usually dead soft, and not appropriatefor this course. again, craft wire, artistic wire, and aluminumwire are usually dead soft in temper so please stay away from those for this course.

size: the size or diameter of a wire is alsoreferred to as its gauge. the first thing i want you to know and commit to memory isthat the smaller the gauge number, the larger the wire. so, 14 gauge is quite thick, and 24 gaugewire is quite fine. it's also important to know that not all countries use the same gaugemeasuring system, so please be aware of that while shopping for your wire. i always refer to gauges based on the awgsystem, which is what's used in north america. europe and other parts of the world may usethe swg system, and many countries don't use a gauge system at all and simply refer tothe wire by its actual measurement.

the awg and swg gauge numbers are not thesame, so that could be a little bit confusing if you don't realize. again, i'll have somesupplementary material including some conversion charts for you to help you out there, andi will provide the measurements alongside the gauge in all of the project supply listsso that you can be sure that what you're purchasing is the right size wire. if you'd like to learn more about differentwire materials, shapes, hardness, and gauges, and different things that you use them for,i'm providing some very informative articles in the supplementary materials section forthis lesson. if you have any questions about anything we'vecovered here, please don't hesitate to ask,

but if you could, please first peruse thearticles - there's a really good chance that your questions will be answered there. thank you so much for watching! i hope yougot all the information you needed about what kind of jewelry wire to use for making wirewrapped jewelry. don't forget, if you'd like to learn moreabout wire wrapping for beginners, there's a link below the video, or you can click righthere on your screen or you can simply visit jewelrytutorialhq.com/courses. i've even unlocked a couple of free previewlessons so that you can take a peek at some of the videos that are actually in the course.if you have any questions, please let me know.

thanks again! i'll see you soon.

jewelry where did the word come from

peter gave wendy a hand at first, but hadto desist, tink was so indignant. up and down they went, and round and round. heavenly was wendy's word for it. today i'll show you how to make fairy wingsfor dolls, or you could easily make these wings into jewelry. you can use real dragonfly or cicada wings,if you're lucky enough to find a dead one on a nature walk, or, if you don't have thereal thing, a transparency print out will work just as well. this is certainly caroline, with more polymerclay fairy tale nonsense, create your own

fairy tale world with my weekly miniatureart tutorials. as always, a link to the supplies i used forthis tutorial will be in the description below. carefully remove the cicada wings with needlenose pliers. or, carefully cut out your transparency wingsif you don't have real ones. insects often have two pairs of wings, theforewings & the hindwings. you'll want to work on each wing part seperately. shape a thin wire to the shape of the wing, set it in place, leaving some wire at both ends, and then add a drop or two of superglue. and let that dry completely.

here's a tip: i use wax paper as my work surface. the brand of super glue i'm using doesn'tdry very quickly on wax paper, so if any super glue gets on the paper underneath the wing,it doesn't stick to the paper. once the glue has dried, you can add a verylight coating of liquid polymer clay. i'm using liquid sculpey but liquid fimo wouldalso work. add a very thin layer on both sides of thewing, making the liquid clay a little thicker over the wire. i made a little boat of tin foil to placethe wing on. you'll want to bake it for about 15 minutesin a 275 to 300 degree oven.

form the end of your wire to the shape youdesire. you could stop right here if you're goingfor a simple, natural look. or, continue on, and give your wings pixiedust magic. thinly brush on a little liquid clay in theplaces you want the pixie dust to show. be very deliberate about where you put theliquid clay at this point. you don't want the glitter to cover thosebeautiful veins, it's very easy to overdo the gliz, consideryourself warned. bake it again. these guys are metal corners of glass pictureframes that i bought at the dollar store.

unfold the picure frame corner, and cut itout with sissors kind of like this. clamp it onto your wing, and add some liquidsculpey to secure the metal in place, and bake again. then add more liquid polymer clay into thenooks and crannies of your metal piece, and then douse it in silver glitter. because there's no such thing as too muchglitter. if you want a little color, add some micapowder here and there. and bake again. if you want your wings to really shine, youcan add a gloss varnish.

i used triple thick brush on gloss. i also added a few micro beads. i used a paint brush with a little gloss toadd them because microbeads are kind of like glitter in that you can easily over do it. if you enjoyed this little tutorial abouthow to make fairy wings, give it a thumbs up, and if you haven't already, subscribeto my strange little world of polymer clay fairy tales.

jewelry when you have a baby

since 1896 i am gregory dawson filling in for clifford banes who is wandering along i-97 in a bathrobe with no memory of who he is. whether adorning jewelryor serving as home furnishings baby skulls are one of the most sought after ornamental items in the united states. but a new report finds as many as 30% of baby skulls are acquired in illegal and sometimes brutal ways.

should the baby skull industry be subject to greater regulations? the skull trade is not without corruption, we all know this.- yes. in angola laborers who travel on foot from village to village collecting baby skulls are forcedto work 16 hours straight. - it's awful.- these skulls pass through so many hands it is hard to know which onesare harvested illegally and which ones are harvested responsibly as they have been doing for hundreds of years.

it is ironic that something so beautiful could be tied to so muchpain and suffering. yes, but people should not be demonized just for wearing a baby skull. listen, last month there was a photo spread in newsweek that ran and showed some of these baby skull harvesters and they were in very bad shape, some of them had their arms cut off they had gotten in the way of their own machetes while harvesting these skulls.- whose fault is that?

i don't see how anybody right now can buy a baby skull with a clean conscience.- that is unfair. i should bad for wearing this necklace? my mother gave it to me. it is beautiful lauralee, it is a beautiful necklace. - it is a stunning necklace lauralee.- thank you. and i hope that it was collectedand polished using fair practices. the fact, lauralee, is that you just don't know. in response to the recent outcry

the baby skull industry has launched a massive nation-wide campaign to salvage its image. some critics argue that ads like theseshould be required to warn consumers about possible humanitarian issues. it is not going to matter how many warnings you put on it, people are not going to stop wanting baby skulls. there we agree. every little girl grows up dreaming of a whole chest full of baby skulls. - baby skulls are part of our culture.- that is right.

if my husband hadn't given me a baby skull ring when he proposed to me i would have been like, where's the skull? if consumers are concerned about possible abuse then they should take mattersinto their own hands, ask the skull dealer where he got the skull, ask to see the spine if he has it.- exactly. some have suggested that we build up the baby skull industry in our own nation so that we might be able to provide greater oversight.

- great solution.- american babies on american soil. i have seen some of those cheap chinese baby skulls and sure they're cheap but that's just because their more plentiful. they have a lot of problems, they have dings and dents. but lauralee i am talking about high quality american made skulls. now, take a look at this skull that i got from an independent dealer recently. oh my god, duncan that is not a baby skull! - that is a cow skull.- what? oh, oh! god damn it.

still ahead this hour: obama to appear on cover of president magazine.

jewelry was originally worn for what reason

hi. i'm michael seto. in this clip we're goingto talk about how to style and shoot a shorter necklace. we're shooting a necklace for lyndsaycolbis, a jewelry designer in new york. what you want to do when shooting a necklace ismake sure you're presenting the piece of jewelry in a way it's going to actually worn on aperson. very important, that way people who are looking at it on a website or in a catalog, can get a good sense of what it's going to look like on them. so, the key to that is,you're making sure the bottom area is going to hang or drape the way it probably wouldwhen a person is wearing it. you're going to want to style it in that manner. also, with this piece of jewelry in particular, you can see that there are a number of differentpendants on it, so there's more of an area

that you want to focus on with your camerathen just say if there was one pendant or if they were all sort of bunched towards thebottom of the necklace itself. what i like to do is just kind of stretch it out herea little bit and then just, form a little bit of a, almost a heart shape. i think thisreally reflects, you know you've got the persons neck here, the necklace drapes down, it'sfairly symmetrical, you want to make sure all the pieces are oriented correctly. sometimesif the jewelry itself is very complex or the pieces are tough to distinguish, you mightnot be able to get it set up exactly right. so it's important to have a stylist or eventhe designer there to make sure you're showing the jewelry the way it's supposed to be worn.
