would you buy jewelry online

the best place to buy diamond engagement ringsis online. for four main reasons that i will go over with you. and i am going to list inthe description below a link to my favorite website to buy those affordable diamond rings.it is way better than the rest. the first reason you got to buy your diamond rings onlineis the price. you can save thousands buy buying your rings online. let me show you. lets takekay jewelers for example. i went in to buy this fifteen thousand dollar neil lane diamondring. now they to me that their the cost of the band without the center diamond in itwas three thousand five hundred dollars. that means the center diamond is eleven thousandfive hundred dollars. okay then i take this diamond and compare it to one that i havelinked to in the description below. this diamond

you can see from kay jeweler is the shadei which is not that great. and then you scroll and you see that its clarity is an i one whichis terrible it means it has tons of visible defects. now i take those diamond specificationsand plug them into the diamond finder and i find a diamond for women that is even actuallybetter and it is for seven thousand dollars shopping. that is a savings of four thousandfive hundred dollars because the one from kay jewelers that was worse was eleven thousandfive hundred dollars. well if saving thousands on a diamond that is better than one at alocal jeweler sounds to good to be true it leads me to my second point which is the g.i.a.certification. the g.i.a. certification which you can find here on this website basicallymeans that the diamond is what it says it

is. and it is a predictable beautiful quality.so lets say you go into a jeweler and they have all these fancy lights shining on thediamond ring and it makes it look way better than it actually is you won't be fooled ifit has a g.i.a. certification. in short make sure your diamond is certified by g.i.a. otherwisethey jeweler is gonna make the diamond seem better than it actually is and you are goingto be fooled. the third reason to shop online is that ability to compare diamonds. it isthe reason why i love the website linked to below. it is so much better at doing thisthan any other website out there. for example lets take these two diamonds right here. thisone you can tell is obviously whiter than this one when you compare the two. this iswhat you would expect because it says so listed

in the specifications that the shade is whiter.the ability to compare is so important. if you go to your local jeweler they will onlylet you compare two or three diamonds at one time outside of the showcase. but here onlineyou can compare as many as you want. and my favorite reason for shopping online... okaythe price is my favorite but my second favorite reason for shopping online is no sales peoplereview. that means no pressure, no lies, no being upsold and hey the price is lower becausethere is no salesperson. win win win. and for those reasons you should always buy yourdiamond rings online guide. also if you need more help finding a diamond engagement ringcheck out my other video or just go to the website i have linked to below. also like, comment and subscribe.

hey everyone! i'm jessica from jewelrytutorialhq.comand bespangled beads on etsy. welcome back to my studio. in today's videoi'm going to show you how to cut up an old leather bag or purse to salvage the leather to use for makingjewelry. now i've got a ton of fun projects plannedwith this leather - i want to make some bracelets and i will show you how to do that in anothervideo, but today we are just going to focus on cutting up this bag and getting as muchleather as we can from it. all you need for this project is the bag thatyou want to cut up, a craft knife with a new sharp blade or a stitch ripper, a work surfacethat's safe for cutting on, and (optional) a metal ruler i'm going to start by just choosing a seamand using my craft knife to insert the blade

between the two pieces of leather where thestitches are and just cut carefully the stitches between the pieces of leather to separatethem. and you'll notice the angle of my knife - i'mmoving the blade along the leather horizontally, not perpendicular to it because i don't actuallywant to cut the leather at this point. i'm just going to continue ripping the seam- you can also use a stitch or seam ripper for this - and then i'm going to cut the flapaway from the rest of the bag. and that will be my first piece of leather. now you should be able to pull the threadeasily from around the edges. i'm going to move on to the next piece wherethe handle is held onto the bag. now it looks

like this piece is made of vinyl so that'sjust going to pull apart easily and we don't need to keep that - it's trash. i'm going to continue on the other side ofthe bag and separate it from the lining, disconnect that flap from where the handleattaches on the other side and discard that piece of vinyl. then continue separating this large pieceof leather. so now i've got two nice sides of leather, and we're going to take apartthis bottom part of the bag. using the same technique, just ripping thestitches gently between the two pieces of leather.

and obviously, every bag is different butthe technique is going to be pretty much the same for any stitched leather bag. this is the rib at the bottom of the middleof the bag - i'm just going to separate that - it's probably made of vinyl so that's trashtoo. continue on separating all the elements whereyou find a seam until you're satisfied with the leather that you have. i'm going to cut off the handle, and i thinki'm going to leave this piece of leather stitched intact and i'm going to save these interesting leatherrings and set those aside - those might be

fun to use in a project somehow. some bags might have more exciting hardwarethan this one so you might want to save buckles and anything you think you might be able touse later. now that we're finished separating all the elements, we're left with severalnice scraps of soft, supple leather that can be cut using a ruler with your craft knifeto make nice straight-edged pieces that you can use for making bracelets or anything elsethat you can imagine. in my next video, i'll show you how to makethis cool 'magic braided' leather bracelet using the leather that we just salvaged fromthat bag. i'll link to that project here when it's ready,or you can always subscribe to my channel

so you don't miss any future videos! thank you so much for watching - i reallyhope you enjoyed this project and i hope you might take a minute and visit me over at jewelrytutorialhq.com(if you're not already watching this video there, of course :) . you'll find tons offun, free jewelry tutorials and resources, and if you'd like to visit my shop you canfind it at bespangledbeads.etsy.com. i'll see you next time!

will jewelry stores haggle

the first thing you have got to do is findout which diamond ring she likes. now you can do this by personally going cheap ringshopping with her or you can get her friend to take her shopping and have her take goodnotes on which affordable ring she likes. do this first by hopefully setting a budgetwith her. for example, lets pretend i went to kay jewelersand my wife fell in love with this neil lane diamond ring. you can see here that this oneis fifteen thousand dollars. now i called kay jewelers and i asked them what the priceof the band would be without the center diamond. they told me it was three thousand five hundreddollars. so if you take the price of this ring minus the three thousand five hundreddollars for the price of the band the center

engagement ring is eleven thousand five hundreddollars. once you found an affordable engagement ringyou need to make note or go back at a later time and make note of these six things. thecolor, the cut, the clarity, the carat, the shape of the center diamond, and the costof the band without the center diamond in it. now scrolling down you can see that theweight of the center diamond is one and a half carats. the color is white and the shadei. which uh isnt that great. the clarity is i one which is terrible. it means it has tonsof defects that are visible. now it doesnt even mention the cut of this ring. i'm imaginingit probably is not that great. now what you need to do is take that information and plugit into a diamond finder on a website that

i have linked to in the description below.okay now i am entering in the same specs. actually i am going to put a little bit betterthan the one we found at neil lane at neil lane for a diamond. and we are going to seethat we found a diamond ring that is actually better than the one we found at neil lanefor about seven thousand dollars. that is a savings of four thousand five hundred rightoff the bat for a better diamond than the one they offered you at neil lane.okay now all you got to do is buy that diamond ring, take it into the jeweler where yourgirlfriend found the ring and have them place it into the band and viola affordable engagementring. now if your girlfriend isnt to picky you can pick out a cheap band on that websitethat looks a lot like the one she picked out

from the local jeweler. and that way you cansave a little bit more money and you don't even have to go back to the jeweler. as youcan see you are going to save thousands like i did on a real ring that is the same qualityif not better than the one they offered you at the local jeweler. all you have to do isgo to the website i have linked to in the description below and find the cheap ringand the center diamond. oh and i almost forgot one thing. after she says yes don't forgetto tell her you got her a higher quality, brighter, or possibly even a bigger cheapdiamond than she picked out. bonus points. don't forget to like, comment and subscribe.

hi, this is luis for expertvillage.com andwe're going to be talking about pawn shops. today i'm here at inland jewelry and loan.things that pawn shops don't want are things that are broken, things that are trashy, thingsthat are missing pieces. i mean if it's something that is really expensive and it's missinga piece and we can replace that piece, we'll take it no problem. you know we've taken rolex'sin the past that have been run over by cars and we fix them up and then we sell them fora good price. but if it is something that you wouldn't want and you're trying to throwin the garbage, don't go to a pawn shop and try to get money for it because they're justgoing to tell you they're not going to take it. we want to make sure that things are atleast a little bit clean. if it's a little

bit scratched we can polish it and put itback for sale, but if we're talking a camcorder and it's missing the lens, that's not goingto work, right? so don't bring it into a pawn shop and think that you're going to get moneyfor it because then the only thing you're going to do is you're going to leave angryand we don't want that. we want our customers to come back whether they're pawning, selling, buying, whatever they're doing, trading, we do trades. so just bring in, i don't wantto say bring in the good stuff because people might get the wrong idea but bring in stuffthat you would actually want to have. like tv's for example. in 2009 they're coming outthat tv's have to be digital. so at this point we're not taking any tv's that aren't digital.so if they're not digital, don't bring them

into a pawn shop. cause you're not going toget any money for them. the older tv's that are from 1985 that have a dial on the frontof it, we don't really want those. on the other hand we do take antique items becausei know for a fact that many people like to buy antique items just to put them in theirliving rooms or whatever. so we'll definitely take antique items but anything that is likeold, trashy, beat up, we don't want.
